SVG Pre-Installation Inspection, Installation Responsibility & Warranty Policy Statement
To maintain consistent product quality across global markets and to ensure fairness and transparency for customers, installers, and the SVG brand, the following policy has been established in accordance with internationally recognized standards within the premium automotive film industry. This policy applies to all SVG products, regardless of whether installation is performed by authorized or non-authorized installers.
Contents
1 Pre-Installation Inspection
All SVG films must undergo a thorough visual inspection prior to installation. The installing party is responsible for examining the material carefully before any application begins.
The inspection shall include, but is not limited to, the following:
- —Surface condition, including scratches, creases, pressure marks, or physical damage
- —Color consistency and finish uniformity
- —Adhesive layer integrity and uniformity
- —Presence of contamination, foreign particles, coating irregularities, or visible imperfections
This pre-installation inspection is a fundamental professional practice within the global automotive film industry and is intended to verify material condition before application, prevent misattribution of responsibility, and ensure optimal installation outcomes.
2 Documentation & Reporting Requirement
If any irregularity or abnormality is identified during the pre-installation inspection, the installer must document the issue with clear photos and/or video before installation begins and report the matter to SVG within a reasonable timeframe.
Documentation must clearly demonstrate:
- —The affected area
- —The nature of the observed issue
- —The overall condition of the film
⚠ Such documentation is a mandatory requirement for warranty consideration and reflects standard industry procedures used by leading manufacturers to ensure objective and fair evaluation.
3 Post-Installation Claims Policy
⚠ Once installation has commenced, whether partially or fully completed, any issue reported without verifiable pre-installation documentation will be deemed non-manufacturing related and will not qualify for SVG warranty consideration.
This policy is established based on the following professional and technical considerations:
- —The installation process itself may permanently alter the material
- —Post-installation conditions do not allow for objective determination of origin
- —Industry-wide best practices require pre-installation evidence to ensure fairness
This policy is not intended to avoid responsibility, but rather to ensure all evaluations are evidence-based and aligned with international industry standards.
4 Warranty Scope Definition
The SVG Manufacturer Limited Warranty applies solely to material or manufacturing defects arising under normal and proper use, including but not limited to yellowing, bubbling, or cracking determined to be caused by manufacturing factors.
The warranty does not cover any of the following:
- ✗Installation workmanship or application quality
- ✗Labor costs related to removal, reinstallation, or rework
- ✗Vehicle downtime, transportation, or incidental expenses
- ✗Damage caused by environmental exposure, external impact, misuse, or non-material factors
Installation technique, workmanship quality, and final appearance remain the sole responsibility of the installing party.
5 Responsibility Allocation & Determination Authority
All warranty claims are reviewed and determined solely by SVG based on submitted documentation and, where necessary, product inspection or testing.
Approval of a material warranty claim does not imply installer fault, negligence, or workmanship liability. SVG retains final authority regarding claim validity, warranty applicability, and remedy determination.
6 Policy Purpose & Brand Commitment
This policy is established to promote transparency, consistency, and long-term sustainability within the SVG installer network while maintaining the brand's global quality standards.
SVG remains committed to continuous product development, quality control, and installation process optimization, and expects all partners to uphold these standards to protect brand integrity and market trust.
